Rebecca Hart
French-Australian mezzo-soprano Rebecca Hart completed her masters at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and is now on her first year at Royal Academy Opera, studying under Susan Waters and Jonathan Papp.
Operatic roles include Baba the Turk (The Rake's Progress) with Royal Academy Opera, Hänsel (Hansel und Gretel) with Pacific Opera, the title role in Radamisto with the Apollo Opera Collective, Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus) and Ramiro (La finta giardiniera) with Operantics, Sorceress (Dido and Aeneas) at The Other Theatre, and Endimione (La Calisto) and Third Spirit (Die Zauberflöte) with the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Opera Studio. Roles performed in GSMD Opera Scenes include Charlotte (Werther), Carmen, Third Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Dryade (Ariadne auf Naxos) and La Badessa (Suor Angelica).
Rebecca was a 2020 Melba Opera Trust Artist awarded the Dame Nellie Melba Scholarship, Annie McFarling Opera Scholarship and the Patrick & Vivan Gordon Award. She was a finalist in the 2019 IFAC Handa Australian Singing Competition and was the recipient of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama Award, the Nelly Apt Scholarship, the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs Prize and Audience Prize. She was a 2018/2019 Young Artist with Pacific Opera.
